Children of God and Brotherly Love
In Deuteronomy 6:5, we learn the truth, *Love your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, with all your mind, and love your neighbour as yourself.*
We can love God because God first loved us, and we are able to love our neighbour in the Christian sense only because God first loved us.
Psalm 133:1 The psalmist sings, *How good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell in unity!*
Those who truly live in unity with their brothers have a constant source of joy.
MBE says, in SH 340:21 *The one, infinite God, the good, unites people and nations; establishes the brotherhood of man; ends wars;*
The enemies of unity are envy, gossip, accusations, fault finding, and lack of love. Psalm 133 by McDonald: https://bible.by/mcdonald/19/132/
St.Paul in his epistle to Galatians 3:28 underlines clearly for the whole humanity,
*There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.*

“When we are grateful for God’s grace and clothe ourselves in Christ, then, and only then, will we all be one. Not human strength, but only God’s love can unite a disunited world.”
True Brotherhood of man is established in the individual consciousness of a person and does not depend on the establishment of Truth in the consciousness of all humanity.
In the Miscellany 281:10, the MBE also proclaims, *On the statement “On earth peace, good will among men,”* the brotherhood of all peoples is established;
One God, One Mind, and “Love thy neighbour as thyself”— this is the basis through which the infinite God, goodness, Father-Mother Love, is ours, and in divine Science we are His.
MBE confirms this in her healing book Scзence Health with key to the Scriptures 467:11-13 *As the fact of loving one’s neighbour becomes manifest, humanity will improve, wars will cease, and true brotherhood of man will be established.*
MBE confirms that idea if unity thus in SH 518:14-18,
*The rich in spirit help the poor in spirit in one, great brotherhood, for all share the same Principle, or Father; And blessed is the man who sees his brother’s need and supplies it, finding his own benefit in the good of another.* (to order this book you can on the page RESOURCES on this sight online or the Paperback)
If the capacity for love is developed within us, we cannot help but love our brothers.
Brotherly love is based on the feeling that we are all one. Differences in talent, education, and knowledge are not considered; the key here is the identity of the human essence, common to all people.
Brotherly love is love between equals. As people, we all need help. Love for the helpless, love for the poor and the stranger — this is the beginning of brotherly love.
Let each of us answer the question, *Is it obvious to us *to love all mankind*?
In Science and Health 336:28-30 MBE answers that question with confidence. *God and man are not the same, but in the order of divine Science, God and man coexist and are eternal.*
The Christian Science Creed states 497:13-15, *We acknowledge Jesus’ atonement as the evidence of divine, efficacious Love, unfolding man’s unity with God through Christ Jesus the Way-shower; *
The Christian idea of God and man is based on love.
Starting from this perspective of unity with God, we can stand firm and yet be merciful; we can be strong and yet meek and compassionate.
Who are the children of God?
The Apostle Paul declares to the Galatians, *you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus;* The other words Children of God are joint heirs with Christ.
Likewise MBE explains in SH, *The perfect man was in due time discovered and known as Christ Jesus.*
Rom. 8:14 as,16,17 (to 3) Paul explains who the children of God are:
*as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are sons of God. The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God , and joint heirs with Christ.*
All people are children of God in the sense that they owe their lives to Him.
It is like a student being led by a teacher in the learning process, a traveller by a guide, and a warrior by a leader.
Their privilege is that they are children of God, accepted into the family of God through adoption, recognized and loved by Him as His children.
The apostle strives to draw us closer to God. Since not all children are heirs, he shows that we are both children and heirs. Thus, Paul says, the Holy Spirit himself is a witness that we have been adopted into the family of God. We begin a new life with God and become heirs.
Here is a testimonial from the Christian Science Journal that answers this question: that peacemakers are called sons of God.

On the way home from school, Patty did not want to laugh or sing. His mother asked, “Tell me what
happened?” Patty burst into tears and said, “Charlie keeps saying bad things about me at school.”
Mom told Patty how Jesus Christ taught his disciples: “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you.”
But Patty wasn’t sure he could relate well to Charlie. Then Mom said,
“Another name for God is Truth. What is true about a child of God will protect you. God, the Truth, keeps His children safe.”
“What do you mean?” Mom replied, “What if someone said you had green hair? What if they said it for a whole year? Would it be true?”
“No,” Patty giggled. “It will always be a lie.”
“So the truth never changes.
If Charlie tells a lie, it can’t hurt you or ever be true. But you can still love Charlie.
A child of God doesn’t want to hurt anyone, and Charlie truly is a child of God, just like you. And God the Truth knows what to say to each of you,” Mom said.
Soon, the teacher at school seated Charlie at a different table. Things improved. But a few weeks later, Charlie hit Patty. Patty didn’t hit him back. But at home, he cried, saying, “When will this healing finally come?”
A blessed thought came to Mom. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.” She told Patty, “You and I still need to know that Charlie is a child of God, even though it seems like he isn’t. No matter how someone acts, we can love. We can forgive. That’s what makes peace.”
That same day, Charlie’s mom called and apologized for Charlie hitting Patty. She said she’d talk to Charlie. Charlie apologized to Patty. And he truly regretted it, because he had been good to Patty ever since.
At the end of the school year, Charlie gave Patty a note. It said, “I’m glad we’re friends.” Patty thought, “I’m glad I’m a peacemaker.”

Explore how persistence in Truth is so vital to experience the divine healing.
My life experience has made me think that some healings occur in a very short period of time, while others demand being firm in our faith, perseverance, patience, persistence in Truth.
Trust in God or good helps us overcome difficult moments in our earthly experience. Despite that often because of ignorance of divine wisdom, we are helpless to see the end of our calamities. When human will govern our faith, we suppose that we stand firmly on the ground and fulfil the will of God. But actually we start feeling moral weariness and even dissatisfaction.
All these negative qualities only discourage us mentally, and we become victims of our own erroneous beliefs. It is useful to keep in mind a spiritual fact of the Discoverer of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy: “…man’s extremity is God’s opportunity”.
In a complicated situation, our positive thoughts often strengthen our blind faith that seems tired from delayed expectations. But often a blind faith does not bring a complete fruitful outcome. When we start to recognize, apprehend and manifest the laws of the Christian Science, a good result comes into our life immediately, not in the uncertain future.
There is a story in the Bible about a woman and her son from Shunem. When the woman’s son passed away, she refused to accept that news as an actual fact. As a result of that, a prophet’s prayer raised her son. In proportion to our recognition of the truth in Christian Science that we live, move and have our being in divine Mind where only harmony reins, all discords or miasmas will become less evident in our mind first and then in our life, too.
Jesus said that the Kingdom of Harmony is within us. When we perceive that truth and patiently hold it in our consciousness those inharmonious events loose any power over us. Then we are able to experience God’s grace and love right now. The author of Psalm 46 affirms this fact in the line, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
In her healing book “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures“ Mary Baker Eddy writes,
“The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,- a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love”. (Science and Health 1:1-4). You can order this book in PDF format online or the Paperback on the Page RESOURCES on this site.
So, absolute faith in God’s power and a spiritual understanding of His
unselfish love (not a blind faith) are the spiritual qualities which lead us
towards the purification of our mind. Meditating and praying on those spiritual
truths liberates our mind from past fears, doubts, and old beliefs.
Then we experience a joy of healing from any kind of infirmity or sickness. Patience,
persistence in Truth and love of God play vital parts in the mental progress of
purification and bring a joy of gladness. In his letter, St. Paul asks all
followers of Christ to “pray without ceasing”.
Patience – Persistence – Perseverance
A seed sown in rich soil will appear in a certain time, although we are not able to see its growth underground. Likewise, a demonstration of patience and perseverance points to the knowledge from God that the divine Principle is always in action, although we cannot materially see that law either. Just as moisture and light are required for the growth of the seed, we also need a sip of living water.
This sip of water is the Truth of God which restores inner peace, reassures us in difficult situations and above all inspires and animates our life.
The following example illustrates perfectly the necessity of constancy and persistence in prayer to obtain a harmonious effect. A few years ago, my wife noticed of a lump under her breast.
We did not deal prayerfully and seriously with this situation straightaway. After some time, the lump began to increase in size and my wife began to be fearful. Those moments of fear and doubt were so discouraging and did not help keep up her spirit. We tried to realize that we have only spiritual substance and therefore matter – or that lump – did not and could not have any reality or power over the pure and true thoughts on which we focused.
During some time, these affirmations of Truth brought peace and comfort to my wife, who wholeheartedly trusted in the healing power of God and my heartfelt prayers. However, when the lump continued to grow, at the same time her fears increased, and some painful sensations appeared. Fearful thoughts prevailed, so she expressed a desire to remove the growth by a surgical operation.
That news did not make me happy, and I expressed an idea that only God can perform surgery without any side effects.
But what decision to take I put totally into God’s hands. And soon my wife decided to continue trusting only in God’s power.
For about seven long months, I steadfastly purified my consciousness through prayerful affirmations, in order to be free from any manifestations of fear. I kept clear in my mind that my wife is God’s child, totally free from all fear and doubt.
The principles of prayer that I’ve learnt through the study of Christian Science healing were so helpful to me. I meditated on the truth which Jesus claimed: every branch which brings not fruit should be cut off and destroyed, I understood clearly that there was not any place for imperfection in the harmonious spiritual body where we all exist.
One evening, my wife asserted the truth about her spiritual being with unwavering faith and spirit. The next morning, the growth started to drain without any effort or pain. That procedure passed without any blood or pain and only a small hole reminded us of where the lump had been. Even that vanished during the following few days. My wife and I wholeheartedly glorified God’s power and love for us. We were so grateful for that life lesson, which we both experienced.
So, as fresh water gives strength to a traveller in the wilderness, likewise the living power of the Word of God purifies our mind and body. When we patiently, steadfastly and with perseverance dwell on the consciousness of happiness and harmony then all our worries and disappointments disappear, as a mist melts away under sunshine!

Let us Witness – God Is Life
One afternoon our friend, my wife, and I went to see a musical performance in Melbourne . On arrival there, we asked two ladies where the entry was, and we went towards it. Walking down from an asphalt slope, we suddenly heard an alarming noise behind us. When we turned around, we noticed that one of these ladies had fallen, sustaining a deep cut on her forehead.
The wound was bleeding heavily. She asked if she could see a doctor, and her friend and I assisted her to stand up. However, she became pale and was unable to keep herself standing. We sat her down on nearby stairs.
She closed her eyes and at that moment it seemed to me that her body became lifeless, and I realized that she had lost consciousness. As the situation was urgent, someone called an ambulance. A strong suggestion that came to my mind first was that she was slowly passing away.
As I am a student of Christian Science, I had a heartfelt desire to assist her. The idea that God is our life came into my thought. In her healing textbook “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures“ (on this site on page RESOURCES you can order this healing book to read online or as Paperback).
Mary Baker Eddy writes, “Mortal man will be less mortal, when he learns that matter never sustained existence and can never destroy God, who is man’s Life.”
These spiritual truths inspired me, and I was able to mentally refuse the aggressive suggestion of death, vigorously uttering to myself, “NO!” Based on principles of prayer what I knew to be true for everyone, I said to that lady with confidence and all my love, “God is your life!” Soon after that, her eyes opened, and I helped her to sit. She looked straight at my eyes without speaking a word.
Denying what the physical senses were informing me, I felt the need to repeat to her “God is your life!” In the same moment, her face changed, her eyes illumined with light and her life seemed to be coming back to her body. She said to me twice, “Thank you. You’ve helped me.”
Although her wound was still bleeding, she looked much stronger and even reminded us to go to the concert with her. A few minutes later, the ambulance arrived, and they only needed to clean her wound. I told the two attendants what had happened.
She was fully conscious and, when she was asked her name and address, she was able to tell the details without any problems. The medical staff thanked me, and drove away. After this accident, we were still in time for the concert, and enjoyed it so much.
What the true values are?
This incident strengthened my understanding of why we should keep our thoughts clear and uplifted. It illustrated to me how good it was that I did not accept in my own mind the worldly temptation to accept seeming pleasure in material well being.
It was evident to me that keeping my mind high and pure blessed a stranger in an emergency.
The truth in one of Paul’s letters, “…godliness with contentment is great gain”(1 Tim.6: 6) resonated in my mind also.
That experience proved to me again what the true values are in my life. I realized even more that, in order to be satisfied and happy, I should always cherish or maintain in my mind only pure and clear thoughts which come from God when I turn to Him with all my heart.
It came clearly to me that to reach the harmonious state of divine Mind, I should watch my own thinking and become aware of the existing divine harmony and peace within myself. That incident on a sidewalk reassured me once more that I do not have to be a witness to anything, really, anything at all, that is not coming from God, who is omnipresent good and from whom only good can come.

God is the only creator of the universe, including man; “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” Exodus 20:3“And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them.” Jer. 25:6
God, being divine good, made All-in-all that He made was good; “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” Gen. 1:31
God is eternal Spirit or Mind, so all things created by Him are spiritual; “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24“By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;..He spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.” Psalm 33:6
The real man is not made of matter but of Spirit, and man was made only good; “God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him.” Gen. 1:26
NEVER be afraid of any medical diagnoses or any mental suggestions that are negative. God is omnipotent Love which dissolves any fear; “Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage.” Joshua 10:25“There is no fear in Love; but perfect Love casteth out fear.” 1 John 4:18
ALWAYS be grateful to God for His wondrous works. “To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.” Ps. 30:12“O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.” Ps.136:26
Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, reminded her followers to obey God’s spiritual laws or commandments and follow Christ Jesus in all his words and deeds. She said, “Keep in mind the foundations of Christian Science — one God and one Christ.” Miscellany 191:11
We feel joy and happiness when we clearly realize that the spiritual prayers for healing based on God’s spiritual laws, described in the Bible, are so pure and powerful that they cannot be belittled or diluted by any human educated knowledge, dogma, theories or traditions.

Faith in God or Alternative Systems of Health
During my last few years of study at the university, I discovered that I could digest only small amounts of food and take very little water. The condition started after I was advised that some food I had eaten was tainted. This made me very afraid that I might unknowingly eat other tainted food.
So whenever I had something to eat, this fear that it was tainted would come to me. Then I would feel an unbearable pain in my stomach and could not retain what I had eaten. I tried different medical treatments, including hospitalization, but they didn’t bring me any relief.
As my condition worsened, I became interested in various methods and therapies of alternative health treatment, products and care to improve my physical health. Despite my diet, physical and mental yoga exercises, meditation, and other alternative health care methods, I continued suffering.
Once when I was taking alternative health treatment in some of the medical institutions, I met an experienced doctor who lovingly said that although he could not help me medically, he could tell me something that would bring my physical health back to normal.
Faith in God in the Scriptures
My doctor, whom I totally trusted, told me that if I would have a faith in God, everything would be possible, including my spiritual healing. Even though we were living under communist rule, it was dangerous even to speak of religion, this doctor was unafraid because he had had so many experiences of God’s care saving his life.
Having grown up under an atheistic government, I was far from any religious background. So it was not easy for me to seek and find a strong faith in the healing power of God. As I had no other choice, I believed what the doctor said to me with all my heart. The doctor explained to me why having faith in God is so important to restore my physical health and harmony. In order to have faith in God, he advised me to explore the sacred Bible scriptures on faith and healing.
This wasn’t easy. As I have lived at that time under the communist government, even mentioning the word “Bible” or “God” was banned. Finally, through my interest in the banned yoga and different practices, I was able to connect with people who smuggled Bibles from overseas to the churches behind the Iron Curtain.
When I purchased the Bible on the black market, I got deeply absorbed in the truthful inspired Bible scriptures. The spiritual ideas in the books of Proverbs, Psalms and New Testament were particularly meaningful to my heart, and my faith in the healing Bible scriptures and the power of God began to grow. I felt immediate improvement in my physical health.
Though I believed in the power of God, it was a blind faith – without understanding. I felt strongly that my long wait healing from God was on the way. But my hidden fears of breaking some material laws, such as eating food that wasn’t fresh or might be going bad, or fear of catching a virus or cold still had a place in my thought. Whenever I ate something, which I felt was not absolutely perfect, I suffered.
Through absorbing and meditating the scriptures in the Bible on healing my faith in the healing power of prayer strengthened. My love and faith for the Bible helped me overcome many difficult situations in that period of my life though my physical health was still greatly affected by my fears.
I kept to a strict diet, did physical and mental yoga exercises, meditation, and applied alternative therapies to improve my general health, but I was under constant fear. I truly believed that if I trespassed material laws, my stomach would suffer or I would catch flu or some other sickness.
I spent eighteen years studying the Bible scriptures and searching for ways to improve my physical health through the Bible’s inspired messages. At last I felt that the healing power of God was more than the power of my faith or hope. I started feeling more and more that my hope in God, which before depended on my blind faith, IS “a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).
Around this time, the Nuclear disaster took place, and I was living with my family in the disaster zone. With two small children, my wife and I were concerned about the effects of radiation. Also, the political situation there was very unstable. So we decided to immigrate to Australia.
After we were settled there with our two little girls, I continued to search for healing to be free from any kind of infirmity. To satisfy my spiritual hunger, we visited many different church services, but neither body nor soul were satisfied with those beliefs and we continued our search for truth.
Christian Spiritual Healing – Divine Mind
Once during discussions with my English tutor about God and His omnipotent power, she introduced my wife and myself to the Christian Science teaching. She invited my wife and me to attend a church service, and during that service I instantly recognized and accepted the truths that the Readers were presenting.
I saw clearly in my mind and heart that the spiritual ideas they were reading from the Bible and Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy were not contaminated by any human theories, creeds, traditions and so on. After the service, I was advised to obtain a copy of the healing book Science and Health.

At the same evening my wife read one of the testimonies in the “Fruitage” chapter of Science and Health in which someone told of being healed of a similar condition.
Through the inspired truths of Christian Science and my deep study of the Bible scriptures, I started to realize that in a harmonious universe–which is governed by God or divine Principle–there is no place for any moral or physical law that could give reality to disharmony or disease.
In proportion to my growing spiritual understanding of the truth that “the power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent” and that “it is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death,” my physical health improved.
Gradually I realized that divine Mind emanates and expresses only harmony and health, and we can experience that harmony if we allow His pure and high ideas to be present in our consciousness. No disharmony or disease could be expressed through me as I am spiritual, made in God’s likeness. It follows that I can express only good thoughts that come from the one divine Mind.
Through the years of my spiritual adventure to find a healing through alternative systems or health treatments, I have found that without having faith in God it is impossible to please God.
Christian spiritual healing or Christian Science claims with divine authority and proofs that to get permanent healing I needed also to understand God correctly. My digestive problems instantly disappeared when I replaced my incorrect beliefs about food with an understanding that my being is the reflection of the divine healing Mind, which cannot suffer.
I also learned that everlasting Love is good and the only Cause. So then my body is the reflection of that good spiritual Cause: omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient Mind. These spiritual truths healed me, and I have been free of that disease for many years.

One day my wife, being in our daughter’s place, called her doggy, Dasha, for a walk. Such a decision always had been met with a great joy from Dasha. However, that afternoon Dasha’s breath was very irregular, and her eyes were full of sadness. When my wife wanted to cuddle Dasha, the dog started screaming.
Evidently, extreme pain was present there. The next day was going to be so busy for our daughter so my wife offered to bring Dasha to our place. When Dasha was brought to our home next morning, she was not happy as usual. It was obvious that healing of Dasha
Mostly, she would be greeting us by dancing on her back legs. She did not allow us even to pat her neck. Dasha was breathing heavily. She could not raise her head up to greet us. Her tail is an indicator of happiness and this day it hung down. Dasha did not greet me, and she did not lie down next to me, as had always occurred before. Dasha just walked around me, breathing with great difficulty.
When I tried gently to touch her neck, she screamed, as she had done the evening before. It was clear that Dasha needed emergency attention. I did not have any experience praying for animals, though I remembered some testimonials about animals’ wonderful healings. My heart was with that lovely dog, but I still was not sure how to pray for her. Then, different ideas started occupying my consciousness. I reasoned that animals are created in God’s image, as man is.
Suddenly, the liberating thought that ” All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation” illumined my mind. From that spiritual fact, I continued reasoning that God, Mind, made animals good. So our doggy also should reflect the health, goodness and perfection in her life. Realizing this eternal truth and watching that Dasha still suffered, I called to God with all my soul. I began talking to Dasha, declaring the truth about our doggy as God’s creature. I said to Dasha with divine authority, “Dasha, God formed all creatures good including you, and therefore you are free from any discords!”
I’ve learned in the divine Science of Mind that there cannot be any inharmonious actions or mental malpractice in the perfect, all-present God where all His creation exists. So I’ve started fervently denying in my mind that any abnormality could have a place in Dasha’s being. There could be no power to take a hold of Dasha. Those thoughts became so obvious to me because of my study of the Science of Mind, described in the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures written by Mary Baker Eddy. Some spiritual principles of how to pray are also described in the article The Art Of Prayer.
As Dasha was still wandering around, I steadfastly continued to utter the previously mentioned truths about Dasha’s being for another 10 minutes until her breathing calmed and she sat quietly in the corner. With great joy and happiness I praised God for that first step of healing. I still was holding to the truth that no disharmony could enter God’s creation and that all creations, including Dasha, dwell harmoniously in the Kingdom of Heaven.
In a few minutes, Dasha was already lying calmly. Later, when I stood up, Dasha as usual joyfully ran up towards me, lifting up her head and letting me shake it. Her tail was up again. Being ready for her breakfast, she ran quickly to be fed.
That Dasha’s healing brought another harmonious outcome. After walking Dasha, I found that sometimes she experienced problems with breathing. After that prayerful treatment that morning, she comes freely home after walking, without a sign of heavy breathing. I glorified God for that healing and for learning that animals, like children, are also so receptive to spiritual truth and healing.

How to keep yourself free from negative emotions?
In this modern age, conceptions such as anxiety, fear, depression and stress have become so real in the minds of the general public that sometimes their subtle and negative effects are not noticed. When those negative thoughts are accepted as real and normal attributes of our life, we may become involuntarily the subject of their harmful influence.
The aim of this blog is to waken us and to bring an awareness of those negative and harmful emotions, as well as how to use our inner strength and courage to efficiently counteract them, for good.
There can be various human reasons to justify depression or anxiety. They usually begin with self-pity or lack of satisfaction at
– home – marriage, kids;
– work – unemployment, uneasy management;
– insufficient funds for living;
– continued mental or physical illness.
These negative emotions may lead to dissatisfaction which in turn leads to isolation and self-pity. Being permanently in that uncertain and unhappy state of mind usually generates doubts and fears about the future. Thus, anxiety becomes so evident.
If anxiety is not approached with a logical, positive and spiritual attitude then the condition may grow into depression. To be out of this last mental state may seem a more difficult task but it also may be cured with success. We should go forward and take the right action without delay if our state of mind is recognized as unhappy and brings no joy.
Explore what we need consider to be free from anxiety and disharmony
To have a strong and continuous desire to be free from this dormant state of mind, we must try and be focused on the thoughts of health, joy and harmony. These qualities are a vital part of success.
These days, we can hear from many psychologists that only having positive thoughts is not enough. In order to dwell on and apply those thoughts they need to be honest, effective and realistic.
Perhaps it would be productive to ask yourself this basic question:
“What kind of state of consciousness would I like to maintain?
Consider the following:
A materialistic way of thinking, in which our mind, soul and life depend on material things or so-called laws, often makes us unhappy.
Spiritual things, which are unchangeable and eternal, bring energy, joy, harmony and satisfaction within.
Immortal, spiritual things such as truth, love, happiness, joy never lose their effectiveness to heal or to experience harmony, calmness, and peace. This is true, whatever situation may occur or appear around us.
Mary Baker Eddy first revealed the scientific, spiritual connection between mind and body. In her healing book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures she writes,
“Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts.” (You can read this book online or order it on the page RESOURCES of this site).
We should let in our mind thoughts of inspiration and not depression. We should consciously keep in mind that inspired and joyous thoughts are the only true and real ones. Then we will experience harmony in our mind and body.
Thus, the command of our Master, Jesus Christ, “Watch and pray” (or as Mrs. Eddy put it in Science and Health,
“Be watchful, sober and vigilant” becomes so vital on the way to complete freedom or healing.
The author, Mary Baker Eddy, also advises how we need to protect our consciousness from any mental, aggressive suggestions which constantly try to hold back our progress and turn us to a way of disharmony, convincing us that all our efforts are in vain.
The Science of God gives us a rule in which we affirm our conviction and our desire to nourish only good thoughts and refuse to accept any inharmonious or fearful thoughts. Mary Baker Eddy advises in her healing textbook,
“Evil thoughts and aims reach no farther and do no more harm than one’s belief permits.
Evil thoughts, lusts, and malicious purposes cannot go forth, like wandering pollen, from one human mind to another, finding unsuspected lodgement, if virtue and truth build a strong defense.”
So we need to watch and plant only good seeds in our garden by rooting up all seeds of tares (weeds) like fear and doubts. We can do this with persistence and conviction that there is no place for anxiety or depression in our garden of harmonious being.
We need to constantly remind ourselves of the truth about our life, that our being is the reflection of the one heavenly or divine Being. Therefore, nothing inharmonious may enter or change our perfect, joyous and healthy being. Are we going to accept this spiritual idea and live it?
It is up to us to take a radical stand in order to benefit from this spiritual approach. It is so obvious and natural that any disharmony will melt away just like the mist under the morning beams of the sunshine. The light of joy will shine brightly, as never before.

Requirements For Healing Practice
In the 1990s I enjoyed learning from my Christian Science teacher what kind of traits of a character should each person have to perform metaphysical or Christian healing. The Christian healing though prayer is not a specific gift given to only a few to practice. The power of spiritual healing is available to any individuality independently of his sex, race, age, education and so on.
The basis of Christian Healing is LOVE! To perform Christian healing, an individual should come to the realization that he has the same “Mind which was also in Christ Jesus”, as St. Paul mentions in his letter to Philippians.
A Christian Healer enables to demonstrate divine healing when his consciousness is filled by the fervent desire to express the spiritual quality of the divine Mind. Then the divine Mind will reflect in the Spiritual Healer the following spiritual qualities:
Crucial qualities – to perform metaphysical healing:
Requirements for Metaphysical Treatment
Sympathy – not judgmental mind;
Compassionate and tender word – human affection;
Forgiveness and mercy;
Purity, Humility, and Calmness;
Unselfish or divine Love – spiritual affection;
Keep watching consciousness against any false suggestions;
Trust your treatment;
Express dominion or authority of Christ;
Moral courage – associated with Angel Michael;
Patience, humility, integrity and honesty fulfill God’s will;
Child’s simplicity and trust;
Be confident and persistent in divine ideas;
Confidence is not expressing own will but to know – everything IS possible to God right NOW;
Expectation, faith – knowing that one grain (or truth) is enough;
Without these spiritual qualities, even the king in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” miserably fails in prayer. In his explanation, the king says:
“My words fly up, my thoughts remain below,
Words without thoughts never to heaven go.”
We fail too if our prayers are just “words without thoughts.”
What the qualities should patients have to experience a spiritual healing?
From the other side a mind of a patient should be ready to accept healing.
To see the fruits of divine healing, the mind of the patient should be filled with a consciousness of a little child such as:
•Receptiveness;
• Trustfulness;
• Repentance with a broken heart as Mary Magdalen;
• Reformation;
• Desire to grow in wisdom;
• Reverence and affection before Truth or Christ;
• Meekness and Humility;
• Patience which breaks human will;
As the divine Love is unconditional and universal, nothing can stop the Love to reflect and desire that Christ’s consciousness in everyone.
There is no time in treatment when the understanding of God’s presence is evident
We are not battling with error, but we rest or bear witness to Almighty’s presence – being a transparency for the shining Light.

As Christ Jesus healed and brought harmony in every inharmonious situation without any creeds or drugs, likewise it was noticeable that all who followed his truthful words have been able to perform in some form metaphysical healing throughout last 2,000 years.

How to experience Spiritual Healing?
As much as I would like to make his blog uplifted or spiritually minded at the same level, I wish this blog to be understood and discussed freely with every one who desires to comment or make a contribution to discussion. Hope friendly manner of this blog will unite all its followers in one circle of love.
I would like to share with anyone my perception of spiritual or metaphysical healing, which is so mixed up with alternative healings. After more than 20 years of my interest how to heal spiritually, I came to the following conclusions:
1. Christian Science healing or Spiritual healing is not a kind of human energy taken from the divine;
2. Metaphysical healing has nothing to do with witchcraft, quackery, dogmas,theories, or traditions;
3. Neither medical therapies nor any kind of alternative therapies including massage nor any other kind of material relief may claim their spiritual approach to cure any disease or to bring harmony to relationships, business, financial or any other problem;
4. Healing spiritually does not involve any mixture of divine Spirit and human beliefs;
5. Metaphysical healing does not manipulate any human mind but heals mind and body on the basis of one divine Mind or Principle which is LOVE from above not beneath!
